Job Description

The Senior Manager, Global Infrastructure, oversees the company s global IT infrastructure strategy, operations, and performance. This role demands advanced skills in people and project management to successfully manage complex infrastructure, teams, and initiatives worldwide.
It establishes operational goals and tasks for various units, develops strategic and operational plans, and leads key initiatives that directly influence business success, financial results, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. By building strong relationships across the organization and with external partners, this leader ensures that infrastructure services reliably meet business and customer needs.

In this role, you are responsible for building and managing a team within the Global Infrastructure organization. You and your team will be responsible for conducting research, performing assessments, recommending solutions, and implementing improvements to the corporate systems and network environments. You will play a key role in engaging with local stakeholders and ensuring that service delivery and support meet local expectations. You will maintain, coordinate, administer, and troubleshoot server and network operations vendors on a day-to-day basis. In this position, you will be responsible for mentoring more junior IT engineers or support analysts, delivering end-user support, and meeting SLAs within your team. You will also be responsible for managing medium to large IT projects, including scope, project planning, resource coordination, and overall project delivery. This position reports directly to the Director of IT, Global Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and Operational Leadership


    o Develop and execute strategic and operational plans for global infrastructure to support business growth and innovation.
    o Establish operational objectives, assignments, and performance requirements.
    o Ensure decisions and initiatives drive both short-term results and long-term operational effectiveness.
  • People and Team Management


    o Lead, mentor, and develop global teams of infrastructure professionals.
    o Build a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    o Support succession planning and talent development to build organizational capability.
  • Infrastructure Operations and Optimization


    o Oversee the management and performance of servers, storage, backup solutions, together with managing cloud platforms and related systems to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
    o Actively manage the network operations center s day-to-day activities, ensuring we proactively and timely respond to incidents, and enhance overall operational deliverables.
    o Implement automation, standardization, and monitoring solutions to increase operational efficiency.
  • Budgeting and Performance Management


    o Develop and manage annual budgets, schedules, and performance metrics for all infrastructure functions.
    o Ensure resources are optimized to meet business and operational priorities.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

    o Leverage strong relationships with internal customers and external partners to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
    o Communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization to ensure transparency, alignment, and operational efficiency.
  • Risk, Security, and Compliance


    o Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and disaster recovery standards across all infrastructure environments.
    o Proactively address risks and lead mitigation efforts to protect business continuity and operational stability.

Technical Areas of Focus:


The role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of:
  • Server virtualization platforms, including VMware and cloud environments such as AWS.
  • AWS Systems Manager for automation, configuration, and management.
  • Network technologies, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and secure remote access.
  • Active Directory administration and management (required).
  • Enterprise storage solutions, including SAN and NAS environments.
  • Backup and recovery systems to ensure business continuity and data protection.
  • Data center infrastructure, both on-premises and co-located environments.
  • Administrative services, including ticket management, operational maintenance, and process documentation.
  • Operating system administration, including Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Infrastructure lifecycle management, including server, storage, backup, and hosting solutions, along with vendor coordination and support.
  • IT security implementations are in alignment with IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) directives.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CCNP, or cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms for proactive performance management.
