Senior Manager - Formulation & Development (F&D)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead product development and manufacturing practices with focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Design strategic plans and set organizational growth goals.
• Manage budgets and optimize expenses.
• Ensure employee motivation and productivity.
• Oversee project work, facility layout, and qualification activities.
• Conduct periodic training for formulation personnel to enhance product and productivity.
• Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Perform additional assignments with commitment to safety practices.
• Stay updated on global innovations and industry trends.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Monitor daily manpower and work distribution.
• Review and coordinate implementation of QMS systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and review technical documents: Compatibility Protocols/Reports, BOM, MFR, BMR, BPR, PDR, Stability Protocols/Reports.
• Support business development in R&D project proposals.
• Handle regulatory documentation and liaise with RA department.
• Propose, evaluate, and implement product and technology development projects.
• Troubleshoot product quality issues.
• Participate in project meetings with internal and external clients.
• Assess technical feasibility and resource requirements.
• Manage QMS documentation and ensure audit compliance.
• Provide scientific formulation support across projects.
• Prepare and review technology transfer documentation.
• Manage multiple formulation development projects simultaneously.
• Monitor stability studies and assist in dossier preparation per guidelines.
• Stay updated on cGMP guidelines.
• Ensure stock reconciliation between physical inventory and SAP.
• Maintain audit-compliant documentation.
• Interface with internal and external auditors.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have exposure of Soft Gelatine Capsules
• Good Team Leader
