Job Description

Manager / Senior Manager-Finance & Accounts


Primary Job Responsibilities -

Month-End Closing:

  • Ensure timely booking of bills and accurate posting in Expense, TDS, and GST GLs.
  • Review GLs and post necessary provisions in SAP.
  • Track and classify prepaid expenses appropriately.
  • Review and file monthly TDS/TCS returns

Financial Reporting (Schedule III):

  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis against prior year and budgeted figures.

Trade Payable Management:

  • Clear open vendor line items and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Review vendor ageing reports monthly.
  • Coordinate periodic balance confirmations with vendors and group companies.

Banking & Cash Flow:

  • Prepare daily cash flow forecasts for collections and payments.
  • Review and process payments in line with terms and cash flow.
  • Monitor and manage trade finance instruments (LCs and TT payments).

Plant Accounting:

  • Oversee plant-level accounting operations including inventory valuation and cost accounting.
  • Ensure accurate recording of production costs and reconciliation with SAP records.
  • Monitor and analyze variances in manufacturing expenses and report findings.
  • Coordinate with plant operations team to validate material consumption and wastage.
  • Support internal controls and compliance specific to plant financial activities

Compliance:

  • Prepare data for MSME return filing (Half-yearly).
  • Prepare data for DPT-3 filing (Yearly).

Audit Support:

  • Prepare audit annexures and schedules.
  • Provide required data, documents, and responses to internal and statutory auditors.

Vendor Negotiations:

  • Participate in purchase committee meetings for cost optimization.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations for finalization.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):

  • Draft new SOPs as needed.
  • Review existing policies and ensure compliance across functions


  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum Qualifications: Chartered Accountant
  • Minimum Experience : 4-5 years of relevant experience in finance & Accounts, preferably in corporate environment.
