Job Description

As a Category Buyer in Corporate Services within APAC, your role will involve managing assigned categories or regions/countries. Your responsibilities will include supplier scouting, selection, management, negotiation, and working capital management. You will be tasked with developing and implementing sub-category strategies in the specified region/country, and achieving cost reduction goals for the assigned category or region/country. Key Responsibilities: - Develop category strategy for the responsible categories as a sub-category owner - Manage relationships with suppliers and act as the primary contact point for suppliers in the region - Handle daily operations (PR to PO) in accordance with regional or country-wise category strategy requirements - Conduct negotiations for long-term and spot-time contracts with suppliers, manage contract lifecycles, and ensure timely updates before contract expiration - Monitor supplier performance, including project-based cost, on-time delivery, quality, and service - Drive year-over-year improvement in field spend through supplier negotiations - Drive year-over-year improvement in working capital through supplier DPO management - Focus on solution standardization and increasing repeat buy percentage significantly - Implement end-to-end processes from a procurement perspective - Provide pre-bid support and execution efficiently to support business delivery and growth - Monitor and support procurement productivity improvement projects to ensure timely completion Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related Business Degree - Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in Corporate Services category - Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with contracting processes - Knowledge of cost reduction methods and tools - Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships internally and externally - Adaptability to rapidly changing environments - Experience working in multicultural and multifunctional teams - Preferably experienced in an innovative yet cost-driven environment - Demonstrates honesty and integrity - Proficient in English writing and reading - Willingness to travel (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description),
