Sr Lead Specialist - WebLogic, Apache Proxy, Nginx Proxy, Forward Proxy

Key Responsibilties

WebLogic Administration

• Install,configure, and manage Oracle WebLogic Server for high-availability environments.
• Deploy and maintain J2EE applications on WebLogic Server.
• Manage WebLogic clusters, domains, and security configurations.
• Optimize performance tuning, JVM heap management, and thread management.
• Apply patching and upgrades for WebLogic to ensure security and stability.

2. Apache Proxy & Nginx Proxy Management

• Install, configure, and manage Apache HTTP Server and Nginx Proxy as reverse proxies and load balancers.
• Configure and maintain SSL/TLS certificates, mod_proxy, mod_rewrite, and mod_security.
• Implement traffic management policies, caching, and security filters.
• Optimize Apache and Nginx configurations for performance and security.
• Troubleshoot proxy-related issues, SSL handshake failures, and request routing problems.

3. Forward Proxy Administration

• Configure and manage Forward Proxy solutions for content filtering, access control, and security enforcement.
• Implement proxy chaining, authentication mechanisms, and transparent proxying.
• Optimize cache settings, bandwidth management, and logging.
• Ensure compliance with security policies for web traffic filtering and monitoring.

4. Monitoring & Performance Optimization

• Implement monitoring tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios for WebLogic, Apache, Nginx, and Forward Proxy environments.
• Analyse logs, performance metrics, and alerts to detect and prevent issues proactively.
• Optimize thread pools, connection pools, and resource allocation for efficient performance.
• Implement automated monitoring and alerting for server health and request handling.

5. Troubleshooting & Incident Management

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to WebLogic application failures, proxy misconfigurations, and connectivity problems.
• Troubleshoot high CPU usage, memory leaks, and slow application response times.
• Identify and fix SSL handshake failures, authentication issues, and certificate expirations.
• Provide on-call support for critical incidents affecting middleware and proxy infrastructure.
• Work with development teams to resolve deployment issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Prepare performance reports, security audit reports, and compliance documentation.

Need to Have Areas

• M.C.A / M.Tech / MBA-IT
• BE / B.Tech

• Preferred certifications in Oracle WebLogic, Apache, Nginx, or security-related domains.

• 7- 12 years IT experience required.
