About the role:
As a Senior Java Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Platform turns passive mobile viewers into active, engaged players through a real-time, large-scale, and monetized interactive entertainment network.
Responsibilities:
- Write highly testable, automatable and performant code over the whole SDLC using high coding standards and software best practices
- Develop product, deliver features and updates according to the product roadmap
- Develop and review feature design documents and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution
- Participate in the team activities according to the methodology - daily meetings, planning, retrospectives etc.)
- oach/supervise middle/junior engineers by demand of the project
Requirements:
- Use of best practices and patterns during application design and implementation
- Hands-on experience with microservice, serverless and event-driven architectural styles
- In-depth proficiency level in Java, implementing applications using defensive programming
- Experience with web protocols (HTTP, WebSockets)
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, SQS, or similar)
- Experience with non-relational databases (DynamoDB, Cassandra, or similar)
- Experience with AWS platform (S3, Lambda, Cognito, etc.)
- Experience with Docker and K8s
- Experience with Spring Boot framework
- In-depth proficiency with unit and integration testing frameworks
- Previous participation in constant quality improvement on the project: conducting code reviews, setting up quality metrics, and monitoring
Desirable:
- Practical experience in application performance optimization
- Experience with caching systems (Redis, Memcached, or similar)
- Experience with WebRTC
- Experience with video streaming
- Experience with streaming analytics (Apache Flink, or similar)
