Job Description

Role & responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality codebase using Spring Boot, microservices, JDK 17+, Kafka/JMS Queue for asynchronous communication, and Oracle/Cassandra for backend storage. Drive mentorship initiatives to nurture and empower junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous growth and development. Ensure code quality and compliance with Sonar coding standards, aiming for 100% code coverage. Take ownership of defect fixing and triaging, providing timely support for production deployments. Facilitate daily updates in scrum calls, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across teams. Collaborate with DevOps, Sterling, DBA, and other teams to optimize project outcomes and streamline processes. Perform API automation and integration with the UI team to ensure feature alignment with requirements. Validate implementation against acceptance criteria, offering insights and guidance for architectural decisions. Dive deep into the e-commerce domain, gaining exposure to the latest technologies and real-life use cases from order placement to delivery and returns. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in JDK 8+, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and related technologies. Extensive experience in writing JUnit tests for ensuring code quality and reliability. Experience with a reactive programming framework is nice to have. Hands-on experience with Oracle or Cassandra for database development. Proficient in database queries. Experience with Maven or Gradle Passion for learning and staying updated with emerging technologies in the e-commerce domain.
