Job Description

Position : Senior Java Developer Location : Chennai Employment Type : Fulltime Key Responsibilities: Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities in legacy Java web applications, with an emphasis on addressing Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and other common issues. Refactor and update application codebases built with JSP, Servlets, and traditional Java frameworks. Upgrade outdated libraries and dependencies (e.g., Apache Commons, Spring Framework) using Maven or Gradle to mitigate known vulnerabilities. Ensure all changes align with secure coding standards and best practices. Collaborate with team members through Git, following established workflows including branching strategies and pull request reviews. Work independently or as part of a distributed team, effectively communicating progress and blockers. Required Qualifications: Hands-on experience in Java web application development. Proven expertise with JSP, Servlets, and legacy Java frameworks. Strong understanding of secure coding practices and common web vulnerabilities Experience with dependency management and upgrades using Maven or Gradle. Proficiency in Eclipse IDE for Java development. Solid knowledge and practical experience using Git for source control, including branching strategies and code reviews.
