Senior Java Developer

Role & responsibilities

1. Lead a team of Java developers in the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications.
2. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
3. Define project requirements, scope, and objectives, and ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.
4. Architect scalable and efficient solutions using Java technologies, adhering to best practices and design principles.
5. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
6. Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
7. Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
8. Troubleshoot technical issues, provide timely resolution, and implement preventive measures to minimize risks and ensure system stability.
9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and apply them to enhance the development process.
10. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of Core Java, Java EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Servlet, JSP, and other related technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring development teams, with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Proficiency in database design and SQL, with hands-on experience in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and propose effective solutions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Agile Central.
