Senior Java Developer

Role & responsibilities

1. Backend Development

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
• Implement business logic, core platform workflows, and backend architecture.
• Develop and maintain microservices for modular and scalable systems.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices.

2. Database & Data Management

• Design, optimize, and maintain database schemas in PostgreSQL.
• Implement data access layers using JPA/Hibernate.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across the platform.
• Optimize complex queries and database performance.

3. System Integration

• Integrate backend systems with third-party platforms such as Shopify, payment gateways, etc.
• Implement file upload, storage, and content management capabilities.
• Develop and maintain ONIX metadata processing workflows.
• Build analytics and reporting modules to support business insights.

4. Platform Scalability & Security

• Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security.
• Ensure platform and data security following industry standards.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and system scalability.
• Implement caching layers and performance monitoring tools.

Preferred candidate profile

• 4-6 years of experience in backend development with Java & Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, JPA, Hibernate, and ORM principles.
• Experience with third-party API integrations and webhooks.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with caching (Redis/Equivalent) and performance tuning.
