Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Java Developer at our leading financial services client, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based microservices using Spring Boot. Your passion for backend engineering, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture will thrive in our fast-paced and innovative environment. You will collaborate closely with product owners to refine technical requirements and contribute to the overall architecture and documentation. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot. - Collaborate with product owners to refine and understand technical requirements. - Participate in design and code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure high performance. - Contribute to architecture and documentation. - Drive Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint planning. - Lead features/modules and mentor junior team members. To excel in this role, you must possess strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture. Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure is essential. Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, Hibernate, SQL, and Tomcat is required. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket, as well as Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, is a must. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this position. Nice to Have Skills - Exposure to frontend technologies like Angular and AJAX. - Experience with Swagger and API documentation. - Understanding of UML and design patterns. - Proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence.
