Role Overview: As a Software Development Lead at UBS, your main responsibilities will include providing technology solutions to solve business problems and enhance the company's position as digital leaders in financial services. You will be analyzing business requirements, designing, planning, and delivering sustainable solutions using modern programming languages. Additionally, you will be offering technical expertise in assessing new software projects, conducting code reviews, testing software, and participating in application architecture and design phases. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technology solutions to solve business problems and strengthen the company's position as digital leaders in financial services - Analyze business requirements - Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages - Offer technical expertise in assessing new software projects - Conduct code reviews and test software as needed - Participate in application architecture and design phases - Ensure proper operational controls and procedures are implemented for the transition from test to production - Manage stakeholders and participate in project planning Qualifications Required: - Hands-on software developer background, particularly focused on complex business application solutions within the finance sector - Demonstrable experience in delivering Java, React JS/Angular JS, and enterprise/large-scale cloud-native complex applications - Strong knowledge of implementing Spring Batching solution to extract data from multiple sources - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to apply standards, methods, techniques, and templates as defined by the SDLC - Solid design, coding, testing, and debugging skills - Experience with cloud services is an added advantage - At least 15 years of hands-on experience in Java, Springboot, microservices design, and implementation About the Company: UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
