Senior Java Consultant

You are a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java consultant sought after by one of our esteemed clients in Bangalore, India. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned EPIC and drive technical refinements from a technical standpoint. You will review and provide technical approval for designs created by Back base, ensuring that security, performance, and non-functional requirements are considered for the transactions. Additionally, you will own the solutioning process in collaboration with squads, Enterprise Architect, and Engineering Manager. Your role will involve owning and driving API discussions with OBP (Interfacing Platform) and Product Processor/external interfaces. You will be responsible for addressing challenges and providing timely clarifications to the squad. In case of technical impediments and defects, you will troubleshoot and resolve them. Furthermore, you will escalate issues, risks, and API problems that are unresolved to the Engineering Manager or Program Management team. Although there is no development or coding involved in this role, you will be engaged in tasks such as analysis, service discovery, design reviews, configuration reviews, and troubleshooting. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to coordinate with different teams on technical aspects and ensure tasks are brought to closure. Ability to take up API discovery, troubleshooting, and analysis is crucial for success in this position. Your technical expertise should encompass being strong in Core Java with familiarity in the latest concepts like Java 17. You should be well-versed in Spring Boot, JSON, XML, YAML configs, and possess sound knowledge of Rest API with respect to security, performance, logging, and error handling. Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, ELK (Logs), and AWS Cloud Watch is desired. Familiarity with deployment processes, network concepts, and AWS Cloud will be advantageous. Additionally, a good understanding of databases and the ability to write basic SQL queries is required.
