Senior Java Consultant

As a Senior Java Developer specializing in Microservices and Cloud technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling enterprise-grade applications and cloud-native solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and deploying Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud frameworks. - Building and maintaining scalable cloud-native applications on GCP (or AWS). - Developing and managing event-driven architecture using Kafka. - Collaborating with Cloud and DevOps teams to automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines. - Participating in cloud migration projects, transforming legacy applications to GCP/AWS-based architectures. - Optimizing application performance, ensuring scalability, and maintaining high availability in cloud environments. - Implementing containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift. - Ensuring compliance with security and data protection standards across environments. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and mentoring junior developers. The must-have skills for this role include: - Core Java (8+) and Spring Boot / Spring Cloud - Strong expertise in Microservices design and development - Experience with Kafka (event streaming, consumer-producer architecture) - Proficiency in Cloud platforms - GCP (preferred) or AWS - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift / Docker - Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration patterns - Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jenkins - Experience in monitoring and performance tuning of cloud applications - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills Additionally, it would be good to have hands-on experience with Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, or Terraform, and knowledge of automation & application security best practices.
