Senior Infrastructure Band E Infrastructure Lead Engineer (Packaging)

Role Overview:

As an Infrastructure Specialist in the Modern Workplace Technology function in Hyderabad, you will be a subject matter expert for Application Packaging and Toolset Development within the devices lab. Passionate about serving colleagues across Lloyds Banking Group youll be capable of supporting positive relationships across Platforms and ready to take ownership of problems through to solution.

In respect of the packaging role you will

Key Responsibilities

• Packaging both external and inhouse developed software, tailored to the owners/requestors requirements, for silent and/or interactive deployments to over 100k devices.
• Proactively identify and deliver service and process improvements, to continually drive for the most reliable and resource efficient deployments.
• Proactively contribute to automation and internal toolset development, both from a technical and planning/ideas point of view.
• Lead package technical reviews to ensure a high quality and proper security standards
• Involvement in all delivery elements of small projects including planning, problem solving and implementation tasks for a wide range of business applications.
• 3rd Line Technical break fix support in relation to Windows/Mac OS and application issues across the client estate, including assisting other colleagues, and troubleshooting/investigation both individually and as a team.
• Stakeholder, customer, and vendor liaison throughout the application delivery lifecycle.
• Provide general Windows/Mac OS, and application technical leadership and guidance to other colleagues, and contractors.

Key Technical knowledge and Experience

• Microsoft Intune – Key skills: Management of config policies, remediation scripts, Apps, Enrolment status page, and Devices
• MSI/x creation/modification/Install Capture – Utilising apps: Advanced Installer, Install Shield, Microsoft MSIx Packaging Tool, Orca
• Packaging and deploying applications in a business environment on the Windows OS using MS Intune – using MSI, MSIx, AppV, Exes, and PowerShell.
• Complex break fix support for software side issues on Windows, including liaising between teams
• Active Directory – Amending and creating groups
• Creating PowerShell scripts from scratch as a minimum, with C#, and general experience of using APIs such as MS Graph being ideal

The ideal candidate will also have prior experience of:

• Designing, developing and implementing automation processes/workflows
• Break fix support for software side issues on Mac OS
• Packaging and deploying applications in a business environment on the Mac OS using JAMF
• Nexthink – For reporting and investigating issues
• Service NOW – for incident, and change management
• JIRA – for resource management/allocation, and tracking of work
• GitHub – for code collaboration, and change control
