Senior Hardware Engineer (Analog design)

As a member of the New Product Development (NPD) team, your role involves various responsibilities including: - Understanding and detailing system/product requirements - Deriving hardware requirement and interface specifications - Designing hardware systems/subsystems - Proposing innovative hardware solutions to solve complex design challenges - Leading conceptual studies, designing prototypes, and troubleshooting feasibility - Selecting components, drawing circuit designs, performing simulations, BOM management, PCB design, and layout reviews - Preparing detailed hardware design documentation - Integrating hardware sub-systems into mechanical assemblies - Identifying technical risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and participating in DFMEA processes - Creating hardware test plans and conducting testing for circuit and system performance - Performing pre-compliance testing for EMI/EMC and safety - Collaborating with project managers, hardware engineers, software engineers, and other cross-functional teams for project delivery Qualification required for this role includes: - BE / Btech / ME / Mtech in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent - 6 to 8 years of experience in hardware designs Your technical competencies should include: - Strong expertise in Analog circuit designs, Op-amps, instrumentation amplifiers, precision analog front end design, ADCs, etc. - Proficiency in measurement & instrumentation techniques, impedance calculation, frequency response analysis, etc. - Experience in hardware design integrating Microcontrollers / DSP and communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, Ethernet - Knowledge of power supply designs and circuit simulation tools, schematic & layout tools - Experience with testing equipment like DMMs, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc. In terms of behavioral competencies, you should possess: - Good analytical skills - Proactive attitude towards success - Systemic and in-depth approach to problem-solving - Flexibility, hands-on approach, and willingness to learn new technologies - Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Additional competencies/experience that would be beneficial for this role include: - Understanding and working knowledge of medical standards like IEC60601-1 - Awareness of EMI/EMC tests and compliance design - Knowledge of embedded programming and test automation using Python/LabVIEW is a plus This comprehensive description outlines the key responsibilities, qualifications, technical competencies, behavioral competencies, and additional competencies/experiences required for the role.,
