Job Description

Raw Material Procurement:
Handle end-to-end procurement of bulk chemicals, solvents) from approved vendors.
Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.
Quotation & Negotiation:
Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery timelines to optimize purchase costs without compromising quality.
Purchase Order Processing:
Raise and process purchase orders in ERP (SAP), track order status, and follow up for timely dispatch.
Inventory Coordination:
Work closely with stores and production teams to monitor stock levels and plan reordering to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Quality & Compliance Coordination:
Ensure vendor-supplied materials meet QA/QC standards and regulatory documentation such as COA, MSDS, and other statutory norms.
Cost Saving Initiatives:
Identify alternative vendors or substitute chemicals to reduce procurement costs while maintaining efficacy and compliance.
Audit & Documentation:
Maintain all purchase-related documentation and support internal and external audits as per GMP and regulatory guidelines.
Market Intelligence:
Track chemical market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance for proactive procurement planning.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Liaise with production, R&D, QA/QC, accounts, and logistics departments to ensure seamless supply operations.
ERP Reporting & MIS:
Generate periodic reports on purchase performance, vendor scorecards, consumption trends, and cost analytics.
New Vendor Development:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors based on quality certifications, capacity, financial background, and track record.
