Job Description


TITLE: Senior Executive - Corporate Accounting

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years with a medium-sized professional company

LOCATION: Hyderabad

RESPONSIBILITIES

This job involves accounting for both India and US organizations

Accounts Payable

  • Correct and Accurate processing of AP Invoices in ERP Software (Peoplesoft)
  • Ensures appropriate support documentation is obtained and attached to the invoices before they are entered in the system
  • Ensure all accounts payable transactions have been approved by relevant authority
  • Processing check runs and electronica funds transfers for US vouchers
  • Basic knowledge of TDS- Payments & Returns
  • Assisting in preparation of input for GST
  • Maintenance and systematic filing of documents, bills, invoices, etc.
  • Liaise with the corporate accounting team in US
  • Support General management reporting & other adhoc reporting

Time and Expense Processing

  • Verify employee expense reports
  • Validate expense receipts as per the T&E company policy
  • Ensures proper back up is attached to expense reports
  • Request for information on the inadequate / inaccurate expense reports submitted by the employees
  • Perform regular / adequate follow-ups on the hold reports
  • Processing IC pay cycle
  • Quick learner - To be well versed with the company's T&E policy

Monthly Close & General reporting

  • General Accounting including Monthly & Annual close.
  • Standard Journal Entries
  • Prepaid hardware & software accounting
  • Fixed assets accounting
  • PO processing
  • Preparation of schedules, financial reporting and reconciliations towards monthly accounting and month-end closing activity
  • Deferred Revenue Apportionment
  • Capital Projects Allocations
  • Accountable for preparing bank reconciliations and maintaining relationships with banks Planning steadily and arranging work efficiently to meet various deadlines.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Qualification: MBA / CA Inter
  • Should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Should be a team worker
  • Ability to establish priorities and work independently
  • Achieving daily productivity and quality targets
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Working knowledge in any ERP system mandatory. Working experience with computerized accounting package is essential
