Description
As a Continuous Improvement Projects Lead, you will be responsible for driving and managing continuous improvement projects across operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Identifying opportunities for process optimization to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. - Developing and executing improvement plans with timelines, resource allocation, and risk management. - Focusing on optimizing shop floor processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations. - Analyzing and improving workflows, equipment utilization, and product issues to maximize productivity. - Implementing best practices and lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement on the shop floor. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to review and refine product details and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for harmonization across all sites. - Developing training programs and providing guidance to operations teams on updated SOPs and best practices. - Analyzing and optimizing batch sizes to balance production efficiency with inventory management and demand forecasting. - Identifying opportunities to reduce/increase batch sizes without compromising product quality or regulatory compliance. - Monitoring and analyzing yield and rejection rates to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. - Developing and implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to reduce rejection rates and enhance yield. - Conducting root cause analysis for process deviations, product defects, and operational challenges. - Developing and implementing improvement plans to address identified root causes and prevent recurrence. - Working closely with R&D and Technology Transfer (TT) teams to troubleshoot operational challenges and provide technical expertise for new products and processes. - Collaborating with the packing development team to support initiatives and ensure successful implementation of packaging improvements. Qualifications: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Management/Engineering/Pharmacy, or a related field. Experience: - Minimum 7 years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational excellence within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry. - Experience with Minitab, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and root cause analysis. Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent project management skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques. - Proactive and innovative approach with a passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
