Senior Engineering Manager Vehicle Liquidations (UVIS)

In this role at Ford Motor Credit Company, you will be a Senior Engineering Manager in the FC India Data Engineering team, responsible for ensuring the run, sustainment, maintenance, and modernization of mission-critical applications. You will support modernization initiatives, develop solutions, and guide engineering teams in implementing solutions on appropriate platforms. Your key responsibilities will include providing engineering leadership to maintenance teams in India, supporting applications globally, driving business adoption of the new platform, and phasing out legacy platforms. **Responsibilities:** - Drive and mentor the team technically - Manage a team of engineers and ensure timely delivery - Conduct stakeholder management effectively - Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills - Scope problem statements, identify solution options, and present them to stakeholders - Implement solutions hands-on - Collaborate with business partners to understand problem statements and translate them into solutions - Utilize JIRA proficiently - Understand the application maintenance process, including ticket management - Collaborate with data engineers, solutions architects, application engineers, and product teams to analyze, design, and implement solutions - Create modernization roadmaps based on the complexity of business processes and current application landscape - Lead the creation and management of application integration models, GCP infrastructure provisioning, and DevOps pipelines - Offer architectural guidance for optimal solutions considering regional regulatory needs - Provide solution assessments on technical solutions, making recommendations aligned with architectural governance and standards - Offer advisory and technical consulting across all initiatives including PoCs, product evaluations, security, architecture assessments, integration considerations, etc. **Qualifications:** - Hands-on experience in designing, building, and deploying applications based on Mainframe, WebSphere, Angular, DB2, Struts, JSP, JSF, and Javascript - Google Professional Cloud Architect certification is a significant advantage - 10+ years of relevant work experience in managing teams, application maintenance, and modernization with a good understanding of cloud hosting concepts and implementations - 5+ years of experience in application development and maintenance - Experience in migrating legacy applications to cloud platforms and driving business adoption of these platforms in Automotive Lending, Banking, and Insurance industries,
