Senior Engineering Manager Vehicle Liquidations (UVIS)

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Ford Motor Credit Company, you will play a crucial role in modernizing legacy platforms to enhance business operations, optimize data utilization, and elevate customer experiences. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around running, sustaining, and modernizing mission-critical applications, supporting modernization initiatives, and guiding engineering teams to implement solutions on suitable platforms. Additionally, you will be tasked with providing leadership to maintenance teams in India, ensuring global application support, facilitating the transition to new platforms, and phasing out outdated systems. Your key duties will involve driving and mentoring the technical team, managing engineers to ensure timely delivery, engaging in stakeholder management, and leveraging excellent communication and presentation skills. You will be expected to define problem statements, explore solution alternatives, and effectively communicate with stakeholders. Furthermore, your role will require hands-on solution implementation, collaboration with business partners to translate requirements into actionable solutions, and proficient utilization of tools like JIRA for effective project management. Collaboration with data engineers, solutions architects, application engineers, and product teams will be essential for analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions. Understanding the complexity of business processes, current application landscapes, and creating modernization roadmaps will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. You will also lead the development and management of application integration models, GCP infrastructure provisioning, and DevOps pipelines while ensuring compliance with regional regulatory requirements. In terms of qualifications, you should possess hands-on experience in designing, building, and deploying applications utilizing technologies such as Mainframe, WebSphere, Angular, DB2, Struts, JSP, JSF, and Javascript. Holding a Google Professional Cloud Architect certification will be considered a significant advantage. With over 10 years of relevant work experience in team management, application maintenance, and modernization, along with a strong grasp of cloud hosting concepts, you should also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in application development and maintenance. Previous experience in migrating legacy applications to cloud platforms, particularly within Automotive Lending, Banking, and Insurance sectors, will be highly beneficial for this role.,
