Senior Engineering Manager

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities: 1) Build, Groom, Retain and Performance manage the engineering team 2) Engineering and Delivery ownership of one or more products for the entire product life cycle. 3) Partner with the Product Owner(s) and influence the product backlog to have a balance between the business stories and core engineering / technology debt stories 4) Drive engineering best practices 5) Review design and code, and provide timely feedback to the team 6) Be able to problem solve and guide the team for resolving complex issues 7) Measure and manage production stability indices of the product(s) 8) Proactively identify integration dependencies with various enterprise products and channel it to the product backlog 9) Drive everyday innovation culture with in the teams and beyond 10) Represent the product architecture and design with the Architecture and Leadership community 11) Share learnings and best practices with the global engineering community Years of Experience: 1) 10 + years in software / IT development 2) 5 + years of hands-on experience in design, build and supporting distributed architecture 3) 2 + years of experience in microservices and event driven architecture 4) 2 + years of product engineering 5) 2+ years of agile software delivery 6) 1+ years of people management Requirement Required Minimum Qualifications : BE / BTech in Computer Science or related fields Primary Skillset: You must have 2+ years of either hands on or leadership experience in minimum 2 complex and distributed applications and/or platforms. Primary Skills (must have) 1) Distributed architecture 2) Microservices architecture and REST standards 3) Event driven architecture 4) Resiliency, Scalability and Performance engineering 5) Cloud technologies 6) Object oriented programming (Java will be added advantage) 7) Relational and No Sql DB 8) Messaging and streaming technologies (Kafka will be an added advantage) 9) Test frameworks 10) CI/CD pipeline including Docker, Kubernetes 11) Building applications on Unix / Linux OS 12) People management.
