Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Engineer Robotics Workflows & Motion Systems who can take ownership of analyzing, designing, and improving motion workflows for robotic platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of robot kinematics and inverse kinematics, experience in Python-based automation, and an aptitude for understanding vision-integrated robotic systems.You will work closely with hardware, software, and vision teams to ensure the system performs optimally across various configurations and field conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and enhance robot motion reachability and workspace coverage for different mechanical setups.
- Apply principles of forward and inverse kinematics to validate and fine-tune robotic movements.
- Study existing algorithms, calibration flows, and motion logic to identify improvement areas.
- Design and implement new or adapted workflows to support hardware or software changes.
- Develop and maintain Python-based workflow and automation scripts, ensuring code modularity and clarity.
- Collaborate with computer vision and hardware teams to integrate vision-based feedback into robotic workflows.
- Debug and optimize motion routines using real-world test data and feedback from deployed systems.
- Document workflows, design rationale, and improvements for cross-functional reuse.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Computer Science.
- 3-8 years of experience working on robotic systems, motion control, or automation software.
- Sound understanding of robot kinematics, inverse kinematics, and coordinate transformations.
- Proficiency in Python for workflow automation, algorithm implementation, and data analysis.
- Ability to analyze system-level code and contribute to algorithmic improvements.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with vision-guided robotics or computer vision applications such as calibration, object detection, or alignment.
- Familiarity with OpenCV, NumPy, or similar Python libraries for image processing.
- Exposure to industrial/collaborative robots (UR, ABB, Fanuc) or robot SDKs.
- Experience with ROS, MoveIt, or other motion planning frameworks.
- Knowledge of Linux, Git, and containerized environments (Docker).
- Understanding of factory automation and system integration workflows
