Description
You will be responsible for owning end-to-end sourcing activities for Electrical & Electromechanical commodities, catering to both NPI coordination and mass production needs. These commodities encompass a range of components such as Fuses, Relays, Switches, Cable Harnesses, Power Supplies, Connectors, Transformers, and more. Your role will involve managing the short-term execution and long-term strategy for the assigned commodities to ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and risk mitigation. You will take the lead in supplier selection, negotiation, and finalizing contracts (LT, MOQ, NCNR) in alignment with the overall commodity strategy. Identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, VA/VE, and should-cost analysis will be a key part of your responsibilities. Collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and EMS partners is crucial to supporting material readiness, ECO/PCN changes, and resolving issues in a timely manner. Utilizing data and spend analytics to make informed sourcing decisions, monitor savings, and enhance supplier performance will be essential. You will also be tasked with maintaining and overseeing accurate procurement master data (pricing, lead times, MOQ, T&Cs) to facilitate planning and financial visibility. Additionally, you will contribute to activities such as supplier consolidation, preferred supplier development, and participating in cross-functional efforts focused on digitization and process improvement. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and possess 8-10 years of experience in sourcing Electrical & Electromechanical components. A solid blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen is required to excel in this role.
