Senior Engineer - Projects

Position Overview

The Electrical Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of FPS/FAPA electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, and the ability to manage 510 crore project volumes while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with industry codes and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution for electrical scope within 510 crore project portfolios.
  
• Drive the planning, design, and implementation of FPS/FAPA systems.
  
• Review and approve engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submittals.
  
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical systems such as:
  
• Medium/low voltage distribution
  
• Lighting systems
  
• Grounding and earthing
  
• Emergency power systems
  
• Fire alarm & telecom systems
  
• Ensure project compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and client-specific standards.
  
• Coordinate cross-functionally with architects, structural/mechanical engineers, contractors, and subcontractors throughout design and construction phases.
  
• Support procurement teams by evaluating technical submittals and vendor qualifications.
  
• Conduct site inspections, provide field engineering support, and resolve technical issues in real time.
  
• Lead or support system commissioning, testing, and project close-out documentation.
  
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting knowledge-sharing and technical growth.
  
• Assist project managers with budgeting, value engineering, risk mitigation, and schedule management.
  
• Maintain ongoing focus on safety, constructability, and cost-efficiency at all project stages.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  
• PE (Professional Engineer) license strongly preferred.
  
• In-depth understanding of electrical industry standards, codes, and best practices.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination tools.
  
• Familiarity with project management platforms such as Procore, Primavera, or MS Project.
  
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
