Senior Engineer - PLC

Role & responsibilities

• Create and modify control logic to optimize performance and reliability of the assembly equipments
• Write, test, and debug

  PLC programs

  using languages like Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram.
• Develop

  HMI (Human-Machine Interface)

  and

  SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)

  systems.
• Create and modify control logic based on project requirements.
• Integrate PLCs with

  sensors, actuators, motors, and communication networks

  (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
• Troubleshoot

  hardware and software issues

  in PLCs and associated automation systems.
• Develop and implement

  control panel designs

  and wiring diagrams.
• Analyss system failures and implement

  preventive maintenance measures

  .
• Ensure that all control systems meet

  safety and regulatory standards

  .
• Create and maintain

  technical documentation

  , including wiring diagrams, PLC logic descriptions, and system configurations.
• Update

  PLC software versions

  and maintain backups.
• Ensure proper

  change management

  of control programs.
• Work closely with

  production, maintenance, and engineering teams

  to improve automation processes.
• Train

  operators and maintenance personnel

  on PLC systems and troubleshooting methods.
• Provide

  technical support

  for continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Expertise in PLC languages (Ladder Logic

  (

  LD), Function Block, Diagram (FBD)).
• Basic knowledge in PLC languages (Structured Text (ST), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Instruction List (IL)).
• Experience with major PLC brands (Panasonic, Siemens (TIA Portal, STEP 7), Allen-Bradley (RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000), Mitsubishi (GX Works, GX Developer),Schneider Electric, Omron, Beckhoff, etc.)
• Designing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
