Senior Engineer - Offshore Renewable Structures

As a Senior Engineer in Offshore Renewable Structures at InSolare Energy Ltd., you will play a crucial role in leading the design and construction of various floating bodies and auxiliaries for offshore renewable projects such as floating solar platforms, service pontoons, and near-shore structures. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including design, materials engineering, fabrication oversight, and mooring system development from the initial concept phase to the final commissioning stage. Key Responsibilities: - Design various components of floating structures including frames, decks, bulkheads, joints, stability, and buoyancy. - Develop and conduct testing on welded, bolted, and polymer joints using materials such as MS, SS, HDPE, and composites. - Create designs and sizes for mooring and anchoring systems based on metocean conditions. - Optimize structures for factors such as weight, cost, stiffness, and corrosion protection. - Supervise fabrication processes, quality assurance/quality control procedures, non-destructive testing, and integration at the yard/site. Essential Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Naval Architecture. - 4-12 years of experience in shipbuilding, offshore, or floating-solar fabrication. - Demonstrated hands-on expertise in joining materials like MS and HDPE, designing leakproof compartments, and conducting structural calculations. - Proficiency in mooring design and its practical implementation. - Willingness to travel to yards/sites and collaborate closely with fabricators. Preferred Qualifications: - Postgraduate degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering. - Exposure to projects involving floating solar, near-shore structures, or workboats. - Knowledge of composites, metocean loads, corrosion mechanisms, and fatigue properties. - Familiarity with vendor development processes for offshore components.
