Senior Engineer Offshore Renewable Structures

As a Senior Engineer specializing in Offshore Renewable Structures at InSolare Energy Ltd., your role involves leading the design and construction of floating bodies and auxiliaries for offshore renewables, including floating solar platforms, service pontoons, and near-shore structures. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects such as designing floating structures, developing and testing joints, designing mooring systems, optimizing structures, and overseeing fabrication processes. Key Responsibilities: - Design frames, decks, bulkheads, joints, stability, and buoyancy of floating structures. - Develop and test welded, bolted, and polymer joints including MS, SS, HDPE, and composites. - Design and size mooring and anchoring systems considering metocean conditions. - Optimize structures for weight, cost, stiffness, and corrosion protection. - Oversee fabrication activities, quality assurance/quality control, non-destructive testing, and yard/site integration. Essential Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech in Marine, Mechanical, or Naval Architecture. - 4-12 years of experience in shipbuilding, offshore, or floating-solar fabrication. - Proven hands-on skills in MS and HDPE joining, leakproof compartment design, and structural calculations. - Working knowledge of mooring design and field implementation. - Willingness to travel to yards/sites and closely coordinate with fabricators. Preferred Qualifications: - PG in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering. - Exposure to floating solar, near-shore structures, or workboats. - Knowledge of composites, metocean loads, corrosion, and fatigue. - Familiarity with vendor development for offshore components.
