Senior Engineer, Network

The primary responsibilities of the Network Engineer position include designing and implementing new solutions, enhancing the resilience of the current network environment, and maximizing network performance. You will be responsible for monitoring network performance, troubleshooting network issues, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects for optimization. Additionally, you will establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, and enforcing system standards. It is essential to support day-to-day network operations, monitor network traffic and performance, ensure compliance with organizational standards and security policies, and document network configurations and troubleshooting techniques. Moreover, you will be involved in supporting network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, as well as assisting in setting up and maintaining local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks. You will also play a role in implementing and testing network changes and updates, providing troubleshooting and technical assistance for end users, and resolving network-related problems. Additionally, you will be required to provide support for network-related incidents during on-call shifts, conduct remote troubleshooting and fault finding, liaise with project management teams, level 2 engineers, and service desk agents, as well as communicate with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture. In terms of qualifications, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Network Engineer in large complex IT environments. You should have demonstrated experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining wireless solutions, as well as experience with SD-WAN technologies, Cisco Meraki network environments, next-generation firewalls like Palo Alto, Meraki devices, voice and unified communications technologies, and Cisco switches for data center environments. Additionally, skills in CompTIA Network+ certification, cloud networking concepts, wireless network technologies, and network security solutions are highly valued. Overall, the ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong technical background in networking, experience with a variety of networking technologies and vendors, and the ability to design and support innovative solutions across different technologies and environments.,
