Senior Devops Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our offshore team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and automating operational processes. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud-native DevOps practices and a proactive approach to system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Cloud Build.

Automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of infrastructure and applications.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager.

Monitor system performance and availability using tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.

Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to ensure smooth delivery of software products.

Ensure best practices in DevOps including security, compliance, disaster recovery, and incident management.

Drive continuous improvement in deployment speed, release quality, and team productivity.

Manage Kubernetes (GKE) clusters and container orchestration.

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science,Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.

GCP Professional DevOps Engineer or GCP Architect certification is a Plus

Hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.

Proficiency in Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.

Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.

Expertise in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Cloud Build, etc.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).

Proficient with version control tools like Git.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools(e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Good understanding of networking, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and security best practices in the cloud.
