Role Overview

Senior RAC DBA

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure environments.
• Perform Oracle Database administration tasks including installation, patching, hardening, and upgrades.
• Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Wallet, Data Masking, PDB, and CDB.
• Ensure database security, availability, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot Linux-related issues and execute system commands for database support.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide database solutions and support.
• Conduct proactive monitoring, backup, and recovery operations.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with stakeholders for smooth database operations.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background:
• B.Sc (IT/CS), BCA, B.E/B.Tech (CS/IT/EXTC/ECE), ME/M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc (IT/CS/Software Systems), or PGDAC from CDAC.
• Certification:

• Oracle Database 19c: RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure Administration (Mandatory).

• Strong expertise in:
• Oracle Database Administration
• Oracle Data Guard, TDE, Wallet, Data Masking
• PDB, CDB, Oracle Database Security
• Installation, Hardening, Patching, and Upgradation
• Proficiency in SQL query writing and Linux troubleshooting commands.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate.
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Proficiency in PL/SQL development.
