Senior Designer - Leather Goods

As a Designer at D2 International, you will be responsible for handling the leather goods category. Your role will involve sourcing, coordinating with pattern cutters, craftsmen, and vendors. You will oversee the entire process from the initial development stage to production, ensuring timely delivery and sample fulfillment. Collaboration with design, vendors, sourcing team, pattern cutters, and craftsmen will be key, and you will report directly to the Head of Development. Key Responsibilities: - Creating detailed tech packs and maintaining clear administration - Collaborating closely with designers, craftsmen, and vendors - Innovating production techniques to enhance product quality - Staying updated on new materials, shapes, and techniques - Assessing proto samples for technical details, measurements, and workmanship - Providing feedback to pattern cutters, craftsmen, sourcing team, and vendors - Anticipating and managing changes within project timelines - Tracking sample progress, monitoring deadlines, and status - Utilizing product and production knowledge to achieve the best FOB price Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design - 4+ years of relevant experience in designing leather handbags, wallets, and small leather goods - Previous experience with a leading export house - Strong leadership and communication skills - Proficiency in Adobe, CAD, and Corel Draw (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description),
