Job Description Senior Designer-Patent Illustrations

Position Summary

A Senior Designer is responsible for independently executing projects of simple to moderate complexity across all types of work, including Utility, Design, and Trademark. The role requires high technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and accountability for delivering error-free outputs without reliance on QC/QA rounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently create and finalize drawings for Utility, Design, and Trademark projects of simple to moderate complexity.
• Perform self-quality checks (self-QC) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational and client standards.
• Own and manage a project from start to completion with minimal supervision.
• Approach the Quality Control (QC) team for clarifications, guidance, or resolving doubts as needed.
• Report directly to the Team Lead, ensuring timely updates on project progress and challenges.
• Maintain high productivity while upholding quality benchmarks.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of patent illustration standards and drawing requirements.
• Experience in CorelDRAW software.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve errors independently.
• Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects efficiently.
• Problem-solving ability and willingness to seek clarifications when necessary.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Engineering, Design, or related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in patent illustrations, with demonstrated ability to handle projects independently.
• Prior experience in handling both Utility and Design projects is an advantage.
