Position Overview:

Senior Design Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the

  machinery design function

  , including concept development, detailed engineering, and final validation
• Oversee design of heavy/industrial machinery in compliance with international standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the design and drafting teams
• Drive continuous improvement in design efficiency, quality, and cost optimization
• Collaborate with production, quality, service, and sales teams to ensure design feasibility and execution
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, BOMs, and technical documents
• Ensure adherence to timelines, quality benchmarks, and customer requirements
• Incorporate best practices and learnings from global industry leaders
• Support troubleshooting, design modifications, and value engineering initiatives
  

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in

  industrial machinery design

• Proven experience in

  team handling and leadership

• Deep

  industry exposure

  and benchmarking knowledge from organizations such as

  ANDRITZ / CPM / LARK / BOHLER

  or equivalent global machinery manufacturers
• Excellent understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and standards
• Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and cross-functional coordination abilities
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum

  10 years of relevant experience

  in machinery or heavy equipment design
• Prior experience in a senior or managerial design role preferred
