Position Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Special Purpose Machine Design (Industrial Process Automation), you will play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and developing custom machinery solutions for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our designs meet client requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations Role & responsibilities Develop innovative mechanical designs for special purpose machines based on client specifications and project requirements. Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) to create detailed 3D models and generate detailed manufacturing 2D drawings. Maintain documentation for design iterations and changes. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including PLC engineers, manufacturing and Testing teams, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall machine design. Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, ensuring that designs meet performance expectations and reliability standards. Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Preferred candidate profile Diploma /Graduate in mechanical engineering or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on Jigs and Fixture, Special Purpose Machines, Industrial Automation. Experience in selection aggregates such as pneumatic cylinders, LM rail, bowl feeders, motors, bearings, sprockets etc Sound knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance Stackup Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX.). Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and machine components. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
