A Design Engineer for Progressive Tooling in Sheet Metal is a professional responsible for designing and developing tooling solutions used in the progressive stamping process of sheet metal. This involves designing tools, dies, and fixtures that are used to create complex sheet metal parts efficiently and accurately. Below are key aspects of the role and responsibilities of a Design Engineer Develop and design sheet metal components systems using UG NX. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product designs. Conduct simulations and stress analysis for design validation. Prepare technical documentation and manufacturing specifications. Ensure designs meet industry standards and customer requirements. Good hands-on Unigraphics NX software commands. UG NX Expertise, in solid, surface modelling Responsible for the design, development, and release of all trim components Product Design & development experience in automotive trim components Proficiency in 2D & 3D modelling within a product development environment Good communication skills, presentation skills, Good understanding of manufacturing processes, DFMEA, GD&T & tolerance stack analysis. Exposure to Europe Automotive Customer Specifications & Standards. Multi tool skills, more than one CAD software experience
