Senior Design Engineer

• Conceptualise material handling solutions and Grippers
• Design the material handling equipment using 3D design software and 2D software.
• Make detailed part drawings of the designed system.
• Make 2 D layouts along with simulation for the material handling equipment designed.
• Make calculations using Strength of material fundamentals and using software's
• Select appropriate bought out components and pneumatic components from Festo, SMC etc
• Make detailed part drawings, showing dimensional tolerances and geometrical tolerances. Specify surface finish, heat treatment etc
• Create error free Bill of material with regards to item numbers and quantities
• Make necessary entries in ERP.
• Discuss in detail with the design manager and get involved in customer discussion for the approval process, make the MOM and implement suggestions of the customer.
• Provide support to assembly team as necessary

Knowledge and Skills

• Hands on experience of using 3D designing softwares AutoCAD ,Inventor, any other
• written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer and mathematical skills
• Experience of designing industry specific products, Material handling systems, SPMs
• Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
• Self motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
