As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. It includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
• Will work include mechanical engineering for all products
• Resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
• Working together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
• Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.

To be successful in this role you will:

Work in a way that works for you

• Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Have minimum 9+ years of industrial experience in mechanical equipment design and application,
• Understand thermodynamics, rotordynamic, materials of turbomachinery product. Product knowledge on centrifugal compressor is added advantage.
• Able to demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with cad modelling along with GD&T, FEA, programming.
• Able to work in experienced people team giving an active contribution to the design and decision-making process.
• Have an open approach to problem solving and expanding the current theory to fill the gaps.
• Have experience and background in manufacturing/reliability/material science is a plus.
• Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding or cutting etc is a plus.
