Job Description

As a Database Management and Maintenance professional, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to MSSQL, MongoDB, MySQL-RDS, and PostgreSQL databases. Your duties will include building, upgrading, patching, migrating, and maintaining these databases. Additionally, you will configure and execute disaster recovery processes, monitor database job failures, and ensure high availability. The ability to handle multiple assignments and deliver high-quality solutions simultaneously is essential for this role. You must possess hands-on experience in MSSQL administration, particularly in switchover and failover operations. Familiarity with Goldengate for data replication, synchronization, and Oracle Enterprise Manager for database monitoring and performance tuning is required. Expertise in Always On, Log Shipping, and Replication of MSSQL databases is also necessary. In terms of database platforms, you should be proficient in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining MSSQL, MongoDB, MySQL-RDS, and PostgreSQL databases. The role may involve managing large databases exceeding 3TB in size. Cloud and automation expertise is a key aspect of this position. You should have a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. Experience with Database as a Service (DBaaS) offerings like AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, and similar services is beneficial. Hands-on experience with version control and automation tools like Praxis and GitHub for automation and version management is essential. Preferred skills for this role include experience with multi-cloud environments, managing complex hybrid databases, and knowledge of scripting and automation techniques to optimize database management. You should also be capable of designing, implementing, and monitoring high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. Candidates for this position are required to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in MSSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL database administration. Preferred certifications include ITIL certification for process-oriented database management, database-specific certifications for MSSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL, as well as AWS or GCP cloud certifications.
