About this opportunity: We are looking for an accomplished Senior Data Scientist to join our Research and Development team, leading innovation at the intersection of advanced AI/ML research and real-world application You will leverage expertise in both traditional machine learning and next-generation AI architectures?including Generative AI, RAG, multimodal AI, and frontier models?to deliver impactful, scalable solutions aligned with Ericssons technology strategy, What you will do: Lead applied AI/ML research initiatives to address complex business and customer challenges using advanced and emerging techniques, Develop and own robust model evaluation frameworks, including validation protocols, reproducibility standards, and success criteria, Architect, implement, and optimize end-to-end ML solutions?from data acquisition and feature engineering to large-scale training, deployment, and lifecycle management, Prototype research solutions and translate them into production-ready systems using cloud-native, scalable approaches, Design high-performance data pipelines for both streaming and batch workflows, Apply performance optimization techniques, including fine-tuning, distillation, and resource efficiency improvements, Publish cutting-edge research in leading journals/conferences, file patents, and contribute to the global AI research community, Collaborate closely with global product, engineering, and business teams to embed AI innovation into strategic offerings, Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of technical excellence, peer review, and collaborative learning, Develop frameworks, reusable assets, and best practices for AI research industrialization and governance within Ericsson, The skills you bring : Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related fields from a reputable institution ( Master's, or PhD), 10+ years of overall industry experience with 5+ years of experience in AI/ML domain, Strong expertise in transformer architectures, self-attention mechanisms, and optimization techniques Solid foundation in traditional ML algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods) and deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, attention-based models) Proven ability to develop, train, fine-tune, and deploy large-scale custom models using PyTorch and/or TensorFlow Proficient in Python and widely used ML/AI libraries (, Hugging Face Transformers, scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas) Experienced in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM fine-tuning, and multimodal AI techniques, Demonstrated track record of academic publications, patents, or contributions to open-source projects Strong experience with model lifecycle management in one or more applied domains (, NLP, computer vision, multimodal AI, time-series forecasting) , Experience with MLOps practices and tools (, Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow) Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for large-scale data processing and distributed training Software research and prototyping experience, with the ability to translate research into production-ready solutions Familiarity with parallel/distributed training, GPU/TPU acceleration, and performance optimization Why join Ericsson At Ericsson, you?ll have an outstanding opportunity The chance to use your skills and imagination to push the boundaries of what?s possible To build solutions never seen before to some of the worlds toughest problems You?ll be challenged, but you wont be alone You?ll be joining a team of diverse innovators, all driven to go beyond the status quo to craft what comes next, What happens once you apply Click Here to find all you need to know about what our typical hiring process looks like, Encouraging a diverse and inclusive organization is core to our values at Ericsson, that's why we champion it in everything we do We truly believe that by collaborating with people with different experiences we drive innovation, which is essential for our future growth We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply and realize their full potential as part of our Ericsson team Ericsson is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer learn more, Primary country and city: India (IN) || Bangalore Req ID: 773342
