Senior Data R&D Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer or Senior Developer in the Data Team at Cerence AI, your role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of named entities such as artists, music, or movies for speech recognition, NLU, and AI models. You will be responsible for extracting content from databases, developing and maintaining data pipelines, and contributing to the advancement of research tools. Your work will have a direct impact on the performance and organization of data systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Process text in multiple languages - Extract content from databases - Implement CI/CD for data pipelines - Develop web scrapers and spiders - Create research tools - Test and monitor infrastructure **Qualifications Required:** - MSc / MTech in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; BSc / BTech candidates with excellent credentials will also be considered - Minimum 5 years of work experience - Proficiency in Python, especially with Pandas library - Familiarity with JavaScript, Spark/Pyspark, Unix/Linux, SQL, RDF, and similar querying languages - Strong written and spoken English skills - Experience working in an international, distributed team - Preferred skills include Elasticsearch, Data Visualization, cloud computing, text data parsing, data mining, GIT, DVC, Airflow, text encoding, and background in natural language understanding, data science, or speech recognition - Knowledge of multiple languages, including Indian languages, is a plus Cerence AI, a global leader in AI for transportation, partners with top automakers, mobility providers, and technology companies to enhance user experiences.
