Senior Data Engineering Lead

As a Lead Data Warehouse Engineer, your role is to architect, manage, and evolve the enterprise data warehouse. You will lead the data engineering team, drive best practices in data modeling and ETL development, and ensure high-performance data solutions supporting business intelligence and analytics. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and set up the data warehouse from scratch ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business goals. - Lead the design of dimensional models (facts and dimensions) and enforce data governance standards. - Oversee the development and optimization of ETL pipelines using SSIS, Python, and cloud-native tools. - Monitor and tune database performance, indexing strategies, and query execution plans. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver actionable insights. - Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and manage project timelines and deliverables. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for data flows, integration logic, and system configurations. Ensure compliance with data standards. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** **Must have** - Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 12+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server. - Expertise in building Data Warehouse using SQL Server. - Hands-on experience with Dimensional Modeling using Facts and Dimensions. - Experience with cloud-based SQL databases like Azure SQL or Azure Synapse. - Expertise in SSIS and Python for ETL development. - Familiarity with Azure Data Factory. - Strong experience in Power BI for reporting and data visualization. - Strong understanding of relational database design, indexing, and performance tuning. - Ability to write complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, and views. - Experience with Git and JIRA. - Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and documentation abilities. **Nice to Have** - Experience with Microsoft Fabric. - Experience with Azure Databricks. - Familiarity with CI/CD for database deployments and automation tools. - Knowledge of big data technologies like Snowflake.,
