Description
Role Overview: You will be applying the principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software that provide business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites. Your responsibilities will include providing systems life cycle management, researching and supporting the integration of emerging technologies, developing program logic for new applications, and ensuring successful implementation of system improvements. You may focus on web/internet applications specifically, using a variety of languages and platforms. Additionally, you will define application complexity drivers, estimate development efforts, create milestones and/or timelines, and track progress towards completion. Key Responsibilities: - Identify areas for improvement and develop innovative enhancements using available software development tools following design requirements of the customer - Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend integration of the appropriate systems, applications, and technology to provide a fully functional solution to a business problem - Develop new features/functionality driven by program increment, including documenting features, obtaining approvals, story analysis, design, coding, testing, non-functional requirements, and migration/deployment - Develop new integration pipelines with SC360 Data bricks, Azure functions, Azure data factory, Azure DevOps, Cosmos dB, Oracle, Azure SQL, SSIS Packages - Work in alignment with business teams to support development effort for all SC360 data-related program increment items - Develop fixes for defects, issues identified in the production environment - Build POCs as needed to supplement the SC360 platform - Develop and implement architectural changes as needed in the SC360 platform to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and monitor the platform - Provide production support assistance as needed Qualifications Required: - Strong communication skills (both oral and written) - Agile life-cycle management experience - Vulnerability/threat analysis expertise - Testing proficiency - Experience with Azure Data bricks, SQL, ETL SSIS Packages (Mandatory) - Experience with Azure Data Factory, Function Apps, DevOps (A must) - Experience with Azure and other cloud technologies - Database knowledge in Oracle, SQL Server, and COSMOS - Familiarity with Azure Services (key vault, app config, Blob storage, Redis cache, service bus, event grid, ADLS, App insight etc.) - Knowledge of STRIIMs Additional Company Details: At UPS, equality of opportunity, fair treatment, and an inclusive work environment are key values to which we are committed.
