POSITION DESCRIPTION

TheSeniorData Operations Analystis responsible forcreating, executing, monitoring, and testing data workflows across a variety of data tools and systems.The Senior Data Operations Analyst plays a key role in creating and executing both autonomous and supervised data workflows for the most challenging use cases, often handling millions of rows and complex transformations. In most scenarios, these workflows are creating mail files for direct mail fundraising campaigns.

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:

TheSenior Data Operations Analystprovides strategic and visionarydataleadershipto various data operations teams. Day-to-day assignments can vary, based on where the greatest volume of work or most complex tasks occur. High-level activities included building data workflows for large direct mail campaigns in terminal-based environments, utilizing in-house tools or other technologies to sanitize large data files and load them into databases, creating complex SQL to reshape or aggregate data for upcoming campaigns, writing stored procedures to act as reusable data transformation scripts, and much more.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver work carefully and thoughtfully, considering that simple mistakes can result in extraordinary costs.
• Learn and become a subject matter expert in all business systems in the first year.
• Execute data workflows in a variety of business systems with careful oversight and close attention to quality control reports delivered at each step.
• Act as a technical resource for members of operational teams who may needassistancecreating complex queries or writing complex data processing scripts.
• Communicate professionally with Account Management to clarify data processing requirements with an eager-to-assist attitude.
• Act as a subject matter expert onfundraising principles and the overall direction of clientsprograms.
• Collaborate withotherteams to scope projects and draft statements of work for custom engagements.
• Participate in root cause analysis when issues occur.
• Collaborate with operations and technology teams to onboard new clients.
• Share knowledge ofdataoperations with other functionalteams,as needed.
• Maintain ample documentationfor all created scripts, workflows, and queries.
• Openly communicate with leadership, teammembersand other departments.
