Job Description

Role Overview: Commvault is seeking a lawyer with 4-5 years PQE in Labor & Employment field to provide in-house legal advisory and support primarily on labor and employment related matters. The role involves identifying and assessing legal risks and opportunities, conducting detailed research on labor and employment practices globally, and handling legal matters ranging from basic to complex. Additionally, the candidate will educate clients and stakeholders on legal matters, advocate Commvault's interests, and support the Human Resources department with policy updates and drafting. Key Responsibilities: - Provide legal advisory and support on labor and employment matters including employee benefits, employment agreements, policy issues, litigation, grievances, and strategic initiatives. - Identify and assess legal risks and opportunities within the labor and employment area and provide advice accordingly. - Conduct detailed research on labor and employment practices globally and analyze local prevailing laws to provide advisory. - Stay updated on changing labor and employment laws across different regions and communicate updates to the team. - Handle legal matters and projects of varying complexity. - Educate clients and stakeholders on legal matters, policies, and procedures. - Advocate Commvault's interests in assigned matters. - Establish and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, legal team members, and colleagues. - Support the Human Resources department with policy updates, drafting new policies, and keeping the team informed of new laws related to policies and employment law. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Law (LLB) or equivalent. - 4-5 years of PQE in Labor and Employment Law with a corporate legal department or a recognized law firm. - Open to individual learning and development. - Committed to being a legal business partner to internal clients. - Global labor and employment legal practice exposure is a plus.
