Senior Consulting Engineer

In this role as a Senior Consulting Engineer at MongoDB, you will be part of a global team that collaborates with customers across various industries and sizes to address a wide range of use cases. Your primary focus will be to support customers in realizing their vision, accelerating time-to-value, and facilitating different adoption scenarios related to MongoDB. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute to customer implementations at different stages of the application lifecycle, including planning, design, deployment, development, testing, and optimization - Conduct customer training sessions for architect, developer, and operations roles - Collaborate with fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams to deliver successful outcomes - Establish yourself as a trusted advisor within the MongoDB community and influence product development - Communicate technical proposals effectively to diverse audiences - Maintain a high level of billable utilization and ensure client success with MongoDB solutions **Qualifications Required:** - Deep expertise in data platform design and operational excellence, with proficiency in at least one major database such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with hands-on problem-solving ability - Proficiency in Linux system use and diagnostics, with experience in deploying and managing databases using Kubernetes/Containers - 10+ years of software development/consulting experience across different industries - Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures and application development methodologies - Competence in at least one of the following languages: Java, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Go - Willingness to travel frequently for short trips to customer sites - Fluency in English and a local language as required In addition to the technical aspects of the role, MongoDB is a dynamic company at the forefront of innovation in the database industry.
