Job Description:? You will be responsible for message processing, technical incident management, service and change request management and problem management as well as root cause analysis.? You will be performing installation, patching and upgrade activities.? You will be responsible for performance monitoring and tuning, backup and restore as well as recovery procedures.? You will ensure high availability of the systems including disaster recovery setup.? Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing System Operation/ System Architecture.? You will conduct (for customers) and ensure knowledge transfer within the team and supervise juniors and trainees.? You own a degree (e.g. business informatics, computer science) or IT training or are a career changer with IT affinity and experience.? You have outstanding analytical skills; technical affinity and a strong customer focused solution orientation are your hallmarks.? Minimum 10+ years of experience in IBM DB2 on distributed platforms like UNIX/LINUX/AIX/Windows.? Experience on Installation, implementation, upgrading, performance, security, patching and monitoring of DB2 Database servers and DB2 HADR environment.? Demonstrable experience in Support, designing, troubleshooting of above technology.? Ability to articulate best practices during implementation.? Proven experience in risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms along with OS clustering.? Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day Operation, Alert, Incident support, Migration, and break-fix support.? Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs.? Administer, monitor, troubleshoot application server configuration and performance.? Configuration and troubleshooting of DB2 HADR? User administration and Space administration on database servers.? Day to day Database administration and Production Support.? Install and implement DB2 LUW, DB2 tools, Patches as required.? Manage incidents at Customer account.? DB2 database Administration/Support? Perform Storage Space management.? Database Security Administration? Maintain Configuration details.? Troubleshooting of DB2 related problems? Proactive system monitoring and support? Level 2 and Level 3 Ticket resolution? As this is a client facing role, there will be interaction with the clients.
