Job Description

As a Senior Consultant in General Surgery, you will perform complex surgical procedures, provide high-level clinical leadership, and play a vital role in mentoring junior medical staff. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of patient care throughout the surgical processfrom pre-operative evaluation to post-operative recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform complex and advanced surgical procedures with clinical excellence and adherence to medical protocols.
Supervise, mentor, and guide junior doctors, residents, and surgical staff in clinical and surgical settings.
Oversee patient care during the entire surgical pathwaypre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative care.
Participate in surgical audits, clinical governance meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, and medical boards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate:
MBBS or equivalent (Any Graduate in a medical discipline)
Postgraduate:
MS/DNB in General Surgery or equivalent postgraduate qualification
Valid medical registration and license to practice
