Senior Cloud Terraform Java Lead Engineer

Role Overview: You will play a crucial role as the Public Cloud Infrastructure Lead Developer, focusing on implementing architecture, engineering processes, and best practices to establish foundational infrastructure required for application hosting in the public cloud. Your responsibilities will include developing microservices, automating infrastructure provisioning, orchestrating in the public cloud, and implementing cloud strategy. Your extensive industry knowledge and experience in building engineering organizations will be essential for success in this role. You will engage with application developers throughout the development life-cycle, from inception to deployment and iterative development. Key Responsibilities: - Automate foundational infrastructure for public cloud including Accounts, Network, and Compute - Provide necessary tooling and capabilities to support the cloud-first strategy - Support developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation, and management for supported cloud providers - Ensure compliance with regulations and policies by accurately implementing requirements traceability - Advocate for and enforce development and engineering best practices using modern SDLC, enabling CI/CD, automation, auditability, automated testing, and infrastructure as code - Propose and develop new cloud-native solutions for system needs where no existing solution is available - Drive client satisfaction by identifying and implementing process improvement and automation initiatives while aligning solutions with the operations roadmap - Communicate requirements and tasks from technology departments and end users to stakeholders - Demonstrate a deep understanding of engineering concepts and principles Qualifications: - Minimum of 6 years of software development and automation experience in the Cloud Platform engineering domain - Strong background in software development with expertise in cloud service automation using technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Java with Spring Boot, Helm, Spring Reactive, and Linux - Proficient in object-oriented design and programming with experience in OO languages, particularly Java - Proven track record of applying domain-driven design to build complex business applications - Hands-on experience with GCP (Preferred) or AWS Cloud services, along with expertise in Development Security Operations practices and Software Development Lifecycle tooling - Familiarity with common standards and practices related to CI/CD, IAM, and Security - Experience collaborating across multiple lines of business in a corporate environment - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with staff and management at all levels Company Details: The job description did not provide any additional details about the company.
