Senior Cloud Terraform Java Lead Engineer

As the Public Cloud Infrastructure Lead Developer, you will play a key role in implementing architecture, engineering processes, and best practices to establish foundational infrastructure required for application hosting in the public cloud. Your responsibilities will include developing microservices, automating infrastructure provisioning, and orchestrating in the public cloud. The ideal candidate will have experience in professional software development, designing highly available cloud systems, and implementing cloud strategy. Advanced industry knowledge and experience in building an engineering organization are essential. You will engage with application developers throughout the full development life cycle, from inception to deployment, operation, and iterative development. Responsibilities: - Automate foundational infrastructure for public cloud including Accounts, Network, and Compute - Deliver tooling and capabilities to support the cloud first strategy - Provide developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation, and management for supported cloud providers - Ensure compliance with regulations and policies by implementing accurate requirements traceability - Develop, cascade, and enforce development and engineering best practices using modern SDLC enabling CI/CD, automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure, and policy as code - Advocate for new cloud-native solutions to meet undefined system needs - Drive client satisfaction through process improvement and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance with the operations roadmap - Communicate requirements/tasks from technology departments and end users to stakeholders - Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of engineering concepts and principles Qualifications: - Minimum 6 years of software development/automation experience in the Cloud Platform engineering domain - Strong software development background with expertise in cloud service automation using technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Java with Spring Boot, Helm, Spring Reactive, and Linux - Strong object-oriented design and programming skills with experience in OO languages (Java) - Proven experience applying domain-driven design to build complex business applications - Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS Cloud services, Development Security Operations practices, and Software Development Lifecycle tooling and components - Knowledge of common standards and practices involving CI/CD, IAM, and Security - Experience working across multiple lines of business in a collaborative corporate environment - Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities - Excellent communication and presentation skills Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience If you are a person with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to use the search tools or apply for a career opportunity, please review Accessibility at Citi.
